Wayne Rooney has again voiced his unhappiness with the FA over enforcing his ban after an extremely unwarranted red card in the Amsterdam tournament this summer. The player missed four games, after just returning from injury, and has suggested the action by the FA has contributed to his below par performances this season. Rooney missed a month of football because of this, and hasn’t looked his usual sharp self since returning. All eyes will be on him as he makes his return to international football this Saturday.

Joey Barton has been charged by the FA for mooning Everton fans, and has until Friday to respond. Chelsea have hit back at Real Madrid’s president who had made comments about Chelsea’s extortionate spending. Ahead of England’s game against Macedonia, goalkeeper Robinson drops hint over England playing with a back three. This leads to speculation over which player out of the usual A Cole, Terry, R Ferdinand and G Neville will be dropped, and who will be getting the extra space in midfield.
