It seems as though Henry has followed through what he has said, and has learned to dive. Yesterday, against Wigan, we see him cheat again, pathetically falling to the floor in the box. Henry angrily chased the referee, complaining about the decision.
When Manchester United’s Ronaldo goes down in the area, the back pages are filled with headings of “CHEAT” next to his picture. Was Henry condemned in the same way on the back pages today? Of course not. It seems diving is only a dreadful thing when some players do it, like Ronaldo, Drogba, and Robben. When players like Gerrard, Henry and Lampard dive, they are not branded cheats, and people turn a blind eye.

dude you seriously need to get your facts right. Henry said this after the CL, after he had been kicked all over the place and ironically yellow carded for a foul committed on him, and not after the France Spain game.
Though it can be said that he went down as if he’d been shot through the heart, the truth remains that he was definitely fouled by puyol and hence the free kick was a deserved one. Maybe you need to have a look at the link that you have posted on this site.
Was fouled beforehand, ran ball out and fell in desperation - should have gone down when fouled… was more contact than what took Heskey over.

Okay, Ronaldo/Drogba/Rooney dive every week.Did you see Ronaldo’s penalty against Spurs ? I’m not surprised he’s thinking of going into acting when he retires, he’ll have had a lot of practise by then. Gareth, France scored from the resulting free kick from Henry grabbing his face. They won the game by 1 goal. So yes, Henry’s cheating heavily contributed to knocking Spain out of the World Cup.
I can see that players like Drogba, Ronaldo, Robben, Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard etc. have all been guilty of diving in the past. Why is it that Arsenal fans struggle so heavily to just come out and say things as they are. Henry cheats. He doesn’t cheat every week, but he does cheat. When he grabbed his face Robbie Savage style at the World Cup, he was cheating. When he belly flopped in the box yesterday, he was cheating. Again, you just confirmed what I said. Arsenal fans struggle to admit that their captain cheats. You can talk about Heskey, Ronaldo, Kirkland, Rooney all you want… whatever these players do or have done on the field does not change the fact that Henry cheats, and that he cheated against Wigan on Sunday. I don’t see why me stating that, and comparing the treatment of some players who cheat to others, means that the article is biased.
This ‘dive’ that you claim resulted from Henry losing balance while running at speed after the initial contact from the Wigan players. It was neither a penalty nor a dive, even though he thought he may have been fouled. Yes, it’s really that simple.

Dear Scott. Where in my response did I say Henry didn’t dive? Anyway, it clearly wasn’t a dive. Andy Gray said it wasn’t a dive and he is all that great when it comes to commentating on football. My work mates are all chelsea scum bags and they say it wasn’t a dive. There you go, conclusive proof that it wasn’t a dive. You clearly have too much time on your hands between knocking one out over Henry’s goal in season 2000/01 against Man U. That hurt didn’t it? When Ronaldo dives, when Robben dives, when Drogba dives etc. there is no debate about it. It’s a dive. yo Scott First ofall france beat spain 3-1 which is a 2goal difference and france deserved to win anyways. They played much better and that’s why they managed to go to the finals. Henry is no cheat! He may slip once in a while but he does not do it often. Henry is the best player in the world he doesn’t need to dive in order to get attention like cheaters such as ronaldo and drogba.
