Greedy West Ham Skipper Wants More

West Ham captain, Lucas Neill, is facing the end of his contract with the club and is looking for more money despite the Hammer’s current financial difficulties.

Neill joined West Ham from Blackburn in January 2007 after turning down a move to Liverpool because they offered him ‘only’ £40,000.

Now it appears as though his contract extension offer with the London club is less than what he is currently earning, meaning he could be looking for a new club when the transfer window opens this January.

The 30-year-old defender may opt to return to Australia to finish his career, after previously suggesting he was interested in promoting the A-league.
