Alex To Face FA Review Of Cahill Stamp

Chelsea’s Brazilian defender, Alex, could be in trouble with the FA after stamping on Everton’s Tim Cahill in last night’s 0-0 draw.
Following the sending off of Chelsea captain, John Terry, Alex was seen to stamp on Cahill, although referee Phil Dowd missed it.
If the FA deem Alex’s stamp to be intentional, he will likely miss three domestic matches.
An FA spokesman said: ‘If a referee misses a particular incident, we can ask the him to look at video footage of it and ask what he would have done had he seen it.’
